Its all to common to get a car in with a fault of this nature that hasn’t been addressed, if you find your car has one of these faults get it booked in and resolved at once. What do they do? Have you any interesting animal related car stories? We have one to share with you. We recently had a Mazda 3 in with an engine management light on the dash. Diagnostics were carried out and the fault was traced to a hose in the engine that had been eaten by a mouse. This little mouse had been getting into the car and snuggling up in the warm area of the engine for his evening snooze and thought this hose was rather tasty! The damaged hose was replaced and the problem was resolved, or so we thought! 10 days or so later we got another call from the customer to say the problem had returned and he could see that this very naughty mouse had returned and eaten the new hose we had replaced! Uk Driving Test would you pass if you did it today?
The Uk Driving test has changed considerably over the years, do you think you would pass if you did the test today? December this year new changes are being introduced to the Uk Driving test. A survey showed that half of british motorists didnt think they would pass their test today. So would your driving match up to the new standards? The new test regulations from December 4 will see up to 21 vehicle safety questions added, and traditional manoeuvres substituted for parallel parking or reversing and rejoining traffic. Hopeful new drivers will also be asked to follow directions from a sat nav during the test, and be required to complete 20 minutes of independent driving – increased from the previous 10 minutes. Diagnostics on Porsche
Diagnostics on Porsche Called out to a fellow local garage to assist with a faulty porsche that kept on throwing cam and crank correlation codes out. The main dealer had failed to diagnose the fault we scoped the cam and crank signals and found this. Red signal is camshaft bank 1 and blue signal is camshaft bank 2, green is crankshaft signal.
